WHAT IS SWAPSHOP?
Phuket SWAPSHOP is a sustainable shopping event rebranded in 2020, now relaunched in 2025 Sarha Victoria Antonia Robinson and Yoana Vastrée Estévez have transformed the way we connect. Working as a member of the ANRCF, the mission is to support local charities, communities and raise awareness of sustainable concepts.
But how do you do that …..?
Through each Phuket SWAPSHOP event we offer the local community to:
SWAP ‘pre-loved treasures’ freely, rather than buying new things. Every new product bought has a negative effect on the planet. Phuket SWAPSHOP offers a place to discover new treasures to decrease carbon footprints and impact on the environment by reducing the amount of goods purchased.
SUPPORT local charities through donation collections and games such as raffles and quizzes. Locals attending a SWAPSHOP event will have the possibility to donate to the charity that is being funded. Phuket SWAPSHOP has raised money for the LIFE&HOME Foundation and Orphanage, the Phuket Sunshine Village Orphanage and Foster care, SOS Phuket, Phuket Nature Elephant Park, Banya Literacy Centre, Soi Dog and more.
COMMUNITY LOVE by holding SWAPSHOP events in different venues (mainly restaurants) which will attract a large crowd of SWAP fans who will contribute to the operating restaurant and bar - this support is much needed due to the current COVID-19 crisis which has been devastating to all hospitality-related businesses on the island.
